New Royal Caribbean Cruise Terminal in PortMiami to Open in 2027

Royal Caribbean Group, one of the world's leading cruise companies, has begun construction of a brand-new cruise terminal in PortMiami. This ambitious project aims to further solidify Miami's position as the global capital of cruise tourism.

What Do We Know About the New Royal Caribbean Terminal?
The new terminal will replace the existing Terminal G, which has been in operation since 1999. The total investment in the project is 5 million.

The facility is expected to earn LEED Silver certification, confirming its energy efficiency and sustainability. Once completed, the terminal will be able to accommodate up to 7,000 passengers at once — setting a new standard for comfort for travelers departing from Miami.

Innovations for Passengers

The terminal will feature:
-    Separated passenger flows by floor, minimizing queues and delays during embarkation and disembarkation;
-    A modern multi-level parking garage with designated bus areas and a convenient drop-off zone;
-    Architectural design that blends seamlessly into the PortMiami skyline;
-    Spacious service zones designed for Icon-class and Oasis-class vessels.

“This approach minimizes wait times, eliminates bottlenecks, and ensures a smooth experience for passengers, crew, and transportation services,” the company stated.

“This project significantly enhances the existing terminal infrastructure and delivers a facility that instills civic pride while reinforcing Miami's position as the world's leading cruise capital,” added the NV2A Group.

When Will It Open?
The grand opening of the new terminal is scheduled for fall 2027. It will host the latest Royal Caribbean ships, including the Icon of the Seas — the largest cruise ships in the world.

Royal Caribbean: Investing in the Future of Port Miami
In addition to the terminal, Royal Caribbean is also investing in a ten-story office complex, located near its current headquarters on Dodge Island. Completion of the new office campus is expected by 2026.
