Valiant Lady

Dry dock period: 9–25 May 2026
Shipyard: Fincantieri (Palermo, Italy)

The Valiant Lady is currently undergoing its first dry dock following its arrival at the Fincantieri shipyard in Palermo earlier this month.

The Virgin Voyages vessel is scheduled to return to service on May 25. Ahead of the summer season in Europe, the ship will also receive upgrades to its public areas. Details of the refurbishment will be announced later.

Carnival Legend
Cruise line: Carnival Cruise Line
Capacity: 2,100 guests
Tonnage: 88,500
Year built: 2002
Dry dock period: 29 April – 20 May 2026
Shipyard: Grand Bahama (Freeport, Bahamas)

Following a temporary suspension of operations from Galveston earlier this month, the Carnival Legend is currently in dry dock at the Grand Bahama Shipyard in Freeport, Bahamas.

The Carnival Cruise Line ship is undergoing scheduled maintenance, general repair work, and class inspections.

Ahead of the summer season in Europe, the 2002-built vessel is set to welcome guests again in PortMiami on May 20, 2026.

Norwegian Gem

Dry dock period: 25 April – 11 May 2026
Shipyard: Chantier Naval de Marseille (Marseille, France)

Norwegian Gem recently underwent a scheduled dry dock at the Chantier Naval de Marseille shipyard in France.

As with other ships in Norwegian's Jewel class, the 2,430-passenger vessel received a new Vibe Beach Club during its shipyard stay.

Before returning to service for the European season on May 11, 2026, the ship also underwent technical maintenance and class work.

Adora Mediterranea
Cruise line: Adora Cruises
Capacity: 2,100 guests
Tonnage: 86,000
Year built: 2003
Dry dock period: 7–21 May 2026
Shipyard: COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Zhoushan, China)

The Mediterranea of Adora Cruises is currently in dry dock at the COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry shipyard in Zhoushan, China.

As previously reported by Cruise Industry News, the former Costa vessel is undergoing interior refurbishment and routine maintenance.

Ahead of its return to regular cruise operations on May 21, the ship is also receiving a full hull repaint using silicone paint, structural repairs, and engine upgrades.



Disney Magic
Cruise line: Disney Cruise Line
Capacity: 1,750 guests
Tonnage: 85,000
Year built: 1998
Dry dock period: 2–16 May 2026
Shipyard: Seaspan Victoria (Victoria, Canada)

After completing its winter season in the Caribbean, Disney Magic underwent a scheduled dry dock at the Seaspan Victoria shipyard in British Columbia, Canada.

The 1998-built vessel was also prepared for a series of seven-night Alaska cruises starting on May 21, 2026.
