FIFA World Cup 2026: Celestyal to Broadcast Matches Live on Board Its Fleet
Both ships from the Celestyal fleet will broadcast matches live during the FIFA World Cup, taking place from June 11 to July 19, 2026.
According to a press release, venues on the Celestyal Journey where guests will be able to watch the games are the Martini Lounge, Galazio Bar, and Halara Bar. As for the Celestyal Discovery, matches will be shown at Café Nation and the Star Bar & Lounge.
“The World Cup is one of those rare events that brings people together, and we know many of our guests will want to follow their team while they are away”, — said Lee Haslett, chief commercial officer at Celestyal.
“At Celestyal, we are all about creating unmissable experiences both at sea and ashore, so making the matches available in our public spaces is a natural addition to the onboard atmosphere. Whether guests are sailing through the Greek Islands, Adriatic, or Mediterranean, they can enjoy their holiday, connect with fellow fans, and still be part of the excitement of the tournament”.
Full venue details and match timings will be confirmed on a cruise-by-cruise basis through each ship's daily itineraries, Celestyal added.
The cruise line recently cancelled its Arabian Gulf season for winter 2026—27, replacing it with a Mediterranean deployment.
