February 2026
- 2–3 February
Railway strike (Trenord) – 23-hour action in Lombardy (train delays in the region, including the Malpensa Express, are possible).
- 16 February (Monday)
National aviation strike - airline (ITA Airways, Vueling) and ground handling workers are striking at airports across Italy:
Naples, Rome (Fiumicino), Milan (Malpensa & Linate), Venice, etc.
- there may be flight delays and cancellations.
Genoa local public transport (AMT) – 4-hour strike (11:30-15:30).
Brescia Montichiari Airport (maintenance) – 24-hour strike by maintenance workers..jpg)
- 18 February
Local rail strike in Verona – 8-hour action, which may affect freight/service trains.
- 25 February (Wednesday)
24-hour public transport – a major campaign in Bolzano (SASA).
24-hour national local transport – public transport (metro, buses, trams) in Rome, Milan and other major Italian cities (large-scale reduction of passenger services during the day).
- 27-28 February
24-hour national rail strike (FS Group) – starts at 21:00 on 27th February until 20:59 on 28th February.
– Looks like a complete suspension of regular passenger trains (may be “guaranteed” peak hour trains).

- 6 March
24-hour local rail strike – in the Naples metropolitan area (EAV Vesuviani line), possible delays on suburban trains.
- 7 March
8-hour national aviation strike (ENAV ATC) – air traffic controllers at the Rome Air Traffic Control Center (ENAV ACC Rome) will strike from morning until evening.
– May cause delays/cancellations of flights throughout Italy.

- check the status of flights and trains before the trip;
- plan transfers with a margin;
- choose alternative options for getting to ports and airports if possible;
- take the above dates into account when booking cruises and planning trips.
