When do schoolchildren have holidays in spring 2027?

Spring and Easter holiday periods differ depending on the country, region and even the specific school. Save the approximate and officially approved dates to plan your family cruise in advance:
• Ukraine — there is no single nationwide schedule for spring holidays; specific dates are determined by educational institutions. The 2026/2027 academic year officially runs from September 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027.
• Hungary — the spring break effectively runs from 25.03.2027 to 04.04.2027: the last school day is March 24, with students returning to school on April 5.
• Austria — 20.03.2027 – 29.03.2027 nationwide.
• France — depending on the zone: 03.04–19.04, 10.04–26.04 or 17.04–03.05.2027.
• Belgium (Flanders) — Easter holidays from 29.03.2027 to 11.04.2027; in Wallonia and Brussels, the calendar may differ.
• United Kingdom — mostly late March – early/mid-April, but dates are set by local authorities and schools. For example, in parts of London — 26.03–09.04.2027.
• Czech Republic — one-week spring holidays take place in stages from 01.02 to 14.03.2027, depending on the district; the Easter school break falls on March 25.
• Slovakia — regional spring holidays from 15.02 to 05.03.2027, and Easter holidays from 25.03 to 30.03.2027.
• Poland — nationwide spring Easter break from 25.03.2027 to 30.03.2027.
• Germany — spring/Easter holidays mostly fall in March–April 2027, but specific dates depend on the federal state.
• Netherlands — spring holidays from 13.02 to 21.02 or from 20.02 to 28.02.2027 depending on the region; additionally, nationwide May holidays run from 24.04 to 02.05.2027.
• Switzerland — dates are set separately by each canton.
• Sweden — depends on the municipality; for example, in Stockholm the Easter break is 30.03–02.04.2027.
• Denmark — depends on the municipality; in Copenhagen the Easter holidays are 22.03–29.03.2027.
• Norway — depends on the region; in Oslo the Easter holidays are 22.03–30.03.2027.
• Finland — the calendar is regional; in Helsinki winter holidays are 22.02–26.02.2027, while the Easter period falls at the end of March.
• Turkey — the second mid-term break is 08.03.2027 – 12.03.2027.
• Kazakhstan — spring holidays are 22.03.2027 – 28.03.2027.
• Armenia — for most students, 22.03–26.03.2027 with a five-day school week and until 27.03 with a six-day week; for first-graders, holidays start earlier — on March 15.
• Azerbaijan — there is no separate nationwide spring break for all grades; an additional spring break from May 1–5 is provided for primary classes and preparatory groups.
