The MSC Grandiosa, the fifth new ship in the MSC cruise fleet, represents a further evolution of the Meraviglia prototype and will be MSC Cruises’ first long-awaited Meraviglia-Plus generation ship. This magnificent liner will spend its debut season in the Western Mediterranean.

MSC Grandiosa boasts an even more impressive Mediterranean-style promenade. Such promenades are provided exclusively on ships of the Meraviglia and Meraviglia-plus generation. The promenade is the heart of the liner; The Promenade is the center of social life, with a variety of shops and themed restaurants, including the new bar and salon L’Atelier Bistrot, equipped with a stage and dance floor. This salon will host an exhibition of works by impressionist artists, and there is also a “terrace” in the style of a Parisian bistro, and tables are located right on the Promenade. Surprise performances such as flash mobs and themed parties will take place on the Promenade throughout the day and evening, while the 98.5 meter long LED dome will put on spectacular shows.

On board the new ship will be shown two new Cirque du Soleil shows at sea, designed specifically for MSC Grandiosa. The shows are part of a long-term partnership between MSC Cruises and Cirque du Soleil, the world leader in the entertainment industry. The partnership will develop eight original shows that will be shown on the company’s four ships of the Meraviglia and Meraviglia-plus generations. Four more Cirque du Soleil shows, two on each ship, will take place on MSC Meraviglia and MSC Bellissima.
