MSC World Europa (MSC World Europe or MSC Europe) is the first MSC Cruises ship to run on a more environmentally friendly fuel - liquefied gas!

MSC World Class is a new class of sustainable cruise liners from the world famous cruise brand - MSC Cruises. One of the most notable features of these cruise ships is the Y-shaped architecture, which gives the ship more panoramic views and an open boardwalk.

The construction of the liner takes place (lo) at the shipyard Chantiers de l’Atlantique (Chantiers de l’Atlantique) in France. In total, from 2022 to 2027, it is planned to build 4 MSC World Class liners at this shipyard!
Thanks to innovative technologies, MSC World Class liners will have increased comfort. The ship will also have 16 comfortable suites, 65% of which have balconies.

From a technological point of view, all ships of this series will be equipped with a liquefied natural gas (LNG) propulsion system. This is an important step for reducing emissions. The cruise line said the MSC World Europa, and other ships in its class, will be the ship with the lowest emissions per passenger and per day ever.

Indeed, the use of LNG will reduce emissions:
- SOx by 99%
- NOx (nitrogen oxides) by 85%.

Finally, a revolutionary project called "PACBOAT" will be implemented at MSC Europa with the integration of a new generation of 50 kW fuel cells.
*This project is supported by ADEME PIA (Program d`Investissement d`Avenir - Investment Program of the Future).
