Celebrity Xcel is putting to sea early!

The most anticipated cruise liner of the year — Celebrity Xcel — goes on the first voyage earlier than planned! Be one of the first to appreciate the luxury of a new class ship Edge.

According to the company's official statement, the liner, designed for 3,260 passengers, will make a short familiarization cruise before its first official flight in November.



"We have an important update on Celebrity Xcel's arrival in Fort Lauderdale," the company said in a message to booked passengers.

"Our teams have been working hard on the construction of the new ship, and its completion took place earlier than we originally expected," added Celebrity.

Passengers who booked the first official flight are offered the opportunity to change their booking to a new introductory cruise.

"We understand that for some guests it is important to be the first on board, and for others it is important to be a part of the solemn first flight," explained Celebrity.



"Thanks to this additional flight, we want to provide you with an exclusive opportunity to be the first to join us or, if you wish, to change your booking," the company added.

Passengers who decide to change their trip to a new introductory cruise will be accommodated in the same suite or a similar cabin that they have already booked.

For guests of the deluxe class, these same rooms will be reserved as a sign of courtesy, but the reservation is based on the principle of "first come, first served", noted in Celebrity.

The cost of the cruise will be adjusted in accordance with the current tariff, and in case of overpayment, the difference will be returned to the guests.

Celebrity Xcel  is currently under construction at the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard in France and will be the fifth ship in Celebrity's Edge-class series.

After the first voyage, the 140,600-ton liner will begin a series of seven-day cruises to the Caribbean, departing from Fort Lauderdale.
