Celebrity River Cruises Launches Before and After Stays in Europe

The company Celebrity River Cruises has announced that guests can now benefit from guided, multi-day «Before and After Stays» (pre- and post-cruise stay programs) in Europe. These packages offer a curated and comprehensive destination experience at the ports of call.

«Before and After Stays» programs, which are an innovative take on traditional pre- and post-cruise tours, are available for booking either before a river cruise journey begins or after it ends.

The company's press release states that 2027 programs in Prague and Budapest, as well as 2028 programs adding Amsterdam and Lausanne, are already open for booking.

“Every element of a Celebrity River Cruises sailing is designed to bring guests closer to Europe's culture, history and people, onboard and ashore”, — said Laura Hodges Bethge, president of Celebrity Cruises.

Personalized and Authentic Experiences Led by Locals

At Celebrity, they highlighted that local experts lead every “Before and After Stay”, which includes one tour from the signature Discovery Collection each day. Guests can choose one of at least three themed tour options daily.

In Amsterdam, a contemporary artist will lead guests through Amsterdam's street art scene. The day ends with guests picking up a spray can and co-creating a piece on the wall themselves.

In Prague, guests will follow the trail of alchemists and ancient scholars. For the history buffs, there will be medieval walls, secret bunkers and Cold War shelters that witnessed centuries of survival. Food and drink culture will also be a focus.

“Before and After Stays” are a seamless extension of the premium onboard experience that Celebrity River Cruises offers on its ships.

Guests do not coordinate or confirm details as every program is planned in advance. Every such tour also includes premium or ultra-premium hotel accommodations, daily breakfasts, and ship transfers.
