About Virgin Voyages
Virgin Voyages is a modern premium cruise company created by the world-famous Virgin Group led by Richard Branson in partnership with the investment company Bain Capital. The company’s headquarters are located in Florida, USA. From the very beginning, the company has been focused on a completely new approach to sea travel - without children, with an emphasis on design, innovation and freedom of choice.
Their fleet consists of the latest mid-sized liners with a capacity of about 2,700 passengers. The ships were built by the Italian shipyard Fincantieri specifically for Virgin Voyages, taking into account environmental standards and the latest technologies. On board there is a modern design, a large number of cabins with balconies, a variety of gastronomy, a wellness area and a vibrant entertainment program for an adult audience. The first liner Scarlet Lady set off on its debut voyage in 2021. All cruises start from convenient ports in the USA and Europe, and the routes cover the Caribbean, the Mediterranean and other popular destinations.
Four Gates Group not only provides full support for booking Virgin Voyages cruises, but also helps with visa issues, transportation solutions and personalized trips. We strive to make your sea voyage easy, comfortable and unforgettable.
Together with Virgin Voyages, we prove that cruising is not just a vacation, but a lifestyle!
History of Virgin Voyages
Virgin Voyages — a cruise revolution from the Virgin brand.
This young, but already brightly declared itself brand has completely rethought the concept of a cruise holiday, focusing on style, freedom and innovation. Find out where it all began and how Virgin Voyages has become the new face of modern sea travel.
Virgin Voyages is a new generation cruise company, founded by the famous entrepreneur Richard Branson and his holding Virgin Group together with the investment company Bain Capital. The brand was officially launched in 2014, but the first liner set sail in 2020.
From the very beginning, the company positioned itself as an innovator in the cruise industry. Virgin Voyages is aimed at an adult audience (18+), offering an unconventional approach to sea travel — without formalities, with an emphasis on style, quality, freedom of choice and sustainability.
The company’s fleet currently includes four Lady Ships class liners — Scarlet Lady, Valiant Lady, Resilient Lady and Brilliant Lady — built at the Italian shipyard Fincantieri. Virgin Voyages focuses on designer interiors, high-class cuisine, musical shows, and unusual routes in the Caribbean, the Mediterranean and other regions.

Why are the 2024 and 2025 itineraries to and from Australia being cancelled?
Ensuring the safety of seafarers and crew is a top priority. Due to ongoing concerns about conflict in the Middle East, we are closely monitoring the situation and consulting with global security experts. The potential escalation of tensions in the region poses a security risk to the 2024 and 2025 relocation voyages.
As a result, there has been no choice but to amend the 2024 and 2025 voyage plans for Resilient Lady.
What are the options for travellers booked on voyages affected by Resilient Lady?
Travelers who booked Resilient Lady cruises between October 20, 2024 and May 4, 2025 can rebook any open cruise in the same cabin category (as long as it’s the same or shorter in length) and they’ll keep their previous promotion and price for the new cruise.
You can also request a refund – or your refund will be automatically processed starting March 27 (or March 11 for those based in the UK or EEAU).
When will Resilient Lady’s 2024-2025 sailings be released and where will she sail?
Resilient Lady will sail from San Juan, Puerto Rico for the 2024/2025 winter season on 7-, 8-, 10-, and 11-night sailings, visiting epic destinations like St. Maarten, St. Vincent, Colombia, and Dominica. These sailings are available to book from 26 February 2024.
Are travellers covered for flights and hotel accommodations due to cancelled flights?
While travel reimbursements are not covered, it is recommended that you contact your insurer for assistance with your flights and hotel accommodations. Insurers will be able to guide you through the process and provide the support you need.

The Passenger Vessel Service Act (PVSA) prohibits the carriage of passengers between two different U.S. ports on any vessel other than a U.S.-flagged vessel that meets all U.S. cabotage requirements. U.S. ports include U.S. states and U.S. insular territories and possessions, with the exception of American Samoa, the Northern Mariana Islands, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Puerto Rico is also exempt from the PVSA as long as U.S.-flagged vessels do not serve that route.
Foreign-flagged vessels, such as Virgin Voyages vessels, may carry passengers between two different U.S. ports without violating the PVSA if the vessel stops at a distant foreign port and the passenger travels with the vessel to that distant foreign port.
Travellers who miss their vessel at their home port may not board the vessel at any port of call that would violate the PVSA. Any traveler who unexpectedly disembarks from a vessel at a U.S. port of call, i.e. Alaska, Key West, Hawaii, and Catalina, due to an emergency that results in a PVSA violation will be liable for the appropriate fine.

What time is disembarkation?

What is the earliest time I can disembark?
Disembarkation begins once the local authorities have given the ship clearance. However, we recommend that you select a disembarkation slot as this will ensure a smooth disembarkation process.
What is the latest time I can disembark?
For port calls: digital signs in the gangway area will show the all-aboard time. You may disembark at any time before this, but please ensure that you are back on board by the stated time. The ship’s crew may refuse disembarkation for operational reasons or if the ship is about to sail.
On the day of disembarkation: Please adhere to your chosen disembarkation time slot. If you are still on board after this time, announcements will be made to assist you in disembarking the ship.
What is the earliest recommended departure time for my flight after my journey?

What is the disembarkation process like for travelers at Port of Miami, Terminal V?
In partnership with Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Virgin Voyages offers an even more efficient process. Travelers who board with a passport and those Canadians who already have biometrics in the CBP system are being expedited using facial recognition upon disembarkation to quickly clear immigration. This new process eliminates the need for in-person interaction and allows for processing in seconds, ensuring a smooth process.
Is facial recognition currently in use at Port of Miami?
Effective May 17, 2023, Virgin Voyages has introduced facial recognition processing, removing the current in-person contact method for qualified travelers. They will now be processed much faster and on their way before they know it, as this new process takes less than a second. It is used by CBP at several locations at the Port of Miami.
How does CBP facial recognition work?
With advances in technology, facial recognition has become the most effective method of identification. Here’s how it works: When you check in (or pre-check in with Ready to Sail), workers will take your photo while you present your passport for inspection. When you disembark, facial recognition technology will compare your photo to the photo on your passport or visa to ensure verification. This streamlined process ensures fast and accurate identification.
Can anyone use this facial recognition to process their CBP?
No, facial recognition is only available to individuals who present a passport, visa, ARC, or similar identification at check-in. The system cannot recognize those who use any other form of identification.
Can I opt out of having my photo taken using facial recognition?
If you do not want your photo taken, please contact a CBP officer to request a manual identity check. Some non-US citizens may be required to provide biometric data. This does not apply to your actual registration, where a photo is required.
I am a Canadian citizen, can I undergo facial recognition?
It is possible, but not guaranteed. Since Canadian citizens do not need a visa to enter the US, there may be alerts or system issues that require in-person processing. However, if CBP has your information from a previous entry, you can use facial recognition without any problems.
Can I undergo facial recognition if I used my US government birth certificate?
No, the system does not recognize birth certificates because these documents do not have a photo associated with them.
How fast is facial recognition?
Yes, it is much faster than in-person processing.
Do I still need my passport when deplanement processing occurs?
It is best to have your passport with you in case it is requested, but you will not need to present it for facial recognition processing.
Is there any other information about CBP?
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) takes photographs of you to ensure that each person presenting a travel document to enter the United States is the true owner of that document. If you do not want your photograph taken, please contact a CBP officer or crew member to request a manual identity check.
CBP will delete photographs of biometrically verified U.S. citizens collected during this process within 12 hours. Photos of some non-U.S. citizens are stored on secure Department of Homeland Security systems and are used as biometric verification of arrival in the United States.
