About Scubaspa
Scubaspa is a unique luxury cruise format in the Maldives that combines diving, spa, and resort-style relaxation on board one yacht. It is not just sailing between atolls but a complete journey where guests enjoy all the benefits of a five-star resort and the opportunity to explore the underwater world of the Indian Ocean.
The main idea of the company is to unite two opposite styles of vacation: active diving and relaxing wellness. Everything on board Scubaspa is carefully designed: spacious cabins and suites with panoramic windows, a yoga area, open sun decks, a jacuzzi under the stars, evening movie screenings, and also a separate dhoni dive boat fully equipped to ensure comfort and safety during dives.
Scubaspa is officially certified as a PADI 5-Star Dive Resort, confirming the high level of instructor training, equipment quality, and strict safety standards. Each vessel accommodates up to 40 guests and has a crew of about 30 specialists – dive instructors, spa therapists, chefs, stewards, and safety officers. The staff-to-guest ratio is one of the best in the Maldives, ensuring personal attention and a private resort atmosphere.
Both experienced divers and those who prefer relaxation without diving can enjoy their stay: massages, aromatherapy, yoga, snorkeling, ocean picnics, and barbecues on secluded islands. The routes cover the famous atolls of Ari, Vaavu, North and South Male, as well as remote zones with whale sharks and manta rays.
For guests of the Four Gates Group tour operator, the team of cruise experts provides complete consultations on all matters related to holidays with Scubaspa. The specialists help choose the optimal route, service package (diving, spa, or combined), cabin type, organize transfers, recommend the best travel season, and prepare a personalized program. Four Gates Group guarantees a high level of service, individual approach, and confidence in every detail of your cruise.
History of company
The history of Scubaspa began with the dream to create in the Maldives a vacation format that combines world-class diving and relaxing resort comfort. The founders – a passionate diver and a professional spa therapist – after traveling through the Maldives, decided to realize the idea of a “floating resort” where divers and their companions could relax together, enjoying both the ocean and the comfort.
In 2013, the first resort liner Scubaspa Yin was launched, built specifically for this concept. The vessel, about 50 meters long, became one of the largest and most comfortable liveaboard ships in the Maldives. Its design combines modern style, natural materials, spacious decks, and high functionality.
A year later, the fleet was expanded with the second yacht – Scubaspa Yang, identical in its level of luxury and equipment. Both yachts were built manually by Maldivian craftsmen, with attention to every detail, and became the first of their kind “floating resorts” in the luxury class.
Over time, Scubaspa developed a whole philosophy of relaxation: today the company offers thematic routes, charter cruises, yoga retreats, and diving safaris with manta rays and whale sharks. Each route is carefully planned and conducted in the optimal season so that guests can witness the full beauty of the Maldivian underwater world.
Today, Scubaspa is a recognized brand that has gained worldwide fame for combining a high level of service, comfort, and adventure. The company remains true to its mission – to offer journeys where luxury meets nature, and every morning begins with a view of the endless ocean.

Scubaspa yachts
The Scubaspa fleet embodies the philosophy of harmony between adventure and relaxation – between the energy of the ocean and the serenity of a spa resort.
Today, the brand unites three luxury yachts: Scubaspa Ying, Scubaspa Yang, and Scubaspa ZEN Indonesia.
Each of them is a true “floating resort” – a space where diving, yoga, fine dining, and total luxury coexist in perfect balance.
Scubaspa Ying
Scubaspa Ying was the first yacht in the Scubaspa fleet and has become an icon of premium Maldivian cruising.
The yacht is 50 m long and 11 m wide, featuring 19 cabins for up to 40 guests. Interiors are styled in light natural tones – wood, linen, and soft fabrics, with large ocean-view portholes.
The three decks include a spacious restaurant, lounge, bar, and an open-air jacuzzi. A highlight of the yacht is the Spa Deck – over 300 m² of wellness space offering Thai, Balinese, and Ayurvedic rituals, aromatherapy, facial and body treatments, and serene areas for meditation.
Divers enjoy a separate dive dhoni, a fully equipped support vessel featuring Bauer compressors, a Nitrox station, showers, and gear storage.
This setup keeps the main yacht quiet and dry, ensuring a comfortable and safe diving experience.
Ying’s itineraries explore the central atolls of the Maldives – Ari, Vaavu, and Rasdhoo – known for whale sharks, manta rays, turtles, and fluorescent coral illuminated during night dives.
Scubaspa Yang
Scubaspa Yang is the fleet’s second yacht and the refined “sister” of Ying, representing the evolution of the brand’s design and service.
Measuring the same 50 m × 11 m, Yang offers an improved layout, advanced air-conditioning, and expanded leisure areas.
There are 19 cabins across four categories: Sea Star Cabin, Cowrie Suite, Dolphin Suite, and Manta Suite, each equipped with private bathrooms, climate control, mini-bar, and safe.
The main restaurant serves creative cuisine that blends European, Asian, and Maldivian traditions. Guests enjoy beach barbecues, wine tastings, and romantic dinners under the stars.
Professional spa therapists and a yoga instructor are part of the crew. Morning yoga is held on deck overlooking the ocean, and sunset sessions take place on secluded islands.
The Spa Deck offers even more space, couples’ treatment rooms, and a jacuzzi lounge area.
Diving is organized from a separate dive dhoni equipped to PADI 5★ standards.
Yang’s itineraries visit the South Male, Alif Dhaal, and Felidhoo atolls – tranquil areas with turquoise lagoons and coral gardens.
Scubaspa ZEN Indonesia
Scubaspa ZEN Indonesia is the flagship of the brand’s new frontier – the introduction of Scubaspa to Indonesia.
Unlike the Maldivian yachts, ZEN is an elegant traditional phinisi, handcrafted from teak wood using centuries-old Indonesian shipbuilding techniques, and fitted with state-of-the-art navigation and safety systems.
The yacht measures 53 m in length and 9 m in width and accommodates up to 20 guests.
On board are 9 luxury cabins of premium category: Owner’s Manta Suite, Cowrie Suite, Dolphin Suite, and Sea Star Cabins.
The interiors feature handcrafted wooden details, designer furnishings, natural fabrics, panoramic ocean windows, and fine artistic décor.
ZEN combines the grace of a yacht with the soul of a tropical resort. It features a spacious spa center, yoga studio, seafood restaurant, bar, upper-deck jacuzzi, and shaded relaxation lounges.
Its itineraries cover Indonesia’s most famous dive regions – Raja Ampat, Komodo, Banda Sea, and Flores, home to some of the richest marine ecosystems on Earth.
Diving is conducted from a separate support dhoni, equipped to PADI 5★ standards. Programs are designed for both experienced divers and beginners seeking certification.
The hallmark of Scubaspa ZEN Indonesia is its philosophy of unity between nature, culture, and luxury. Daily yoga sessions on deck, detox menus, ocean-view spa rituals, excursions to traditional villages, and dinners under the stars create an atmosphere of harmony and deep immersion in the spirit of Indonesia.
A Fleet for the Soul and Inspiration
The Scubaspa fleet unites three unique yachts – Ying, Yang, and ZEN Indonesia – offering every traveler their own ideal voyage: dive safari, yoga retreat, spa escape, or fine dining cruise.
This is more than travel across the ocean – it is a philosophy of harmony between body, mind, and sea.

Before the Cruise
What are the start and end dates of Scubaspa cruises?
Scubaspa cruises in the Maldives begin and end on Saturdays – the main 7-night program runs from Saturday to Saturday. There are also 4-night cruises (Saturday-Wednesday) and 3-night itineraries (Wednesday-Saturday). All departures are coordinated with international flights at Malé Airport for smooth connections. Guests must arrive before 3 PM on embarkation day to join the official transfer.
How is the airport transfer to the yacht arranged?
Group transfers are organized for all guests and are included in most tariffs. On embarkation day, guests are welcomed at Malé Airport between 12:30 PM and 3 PM by Scubaspa representatives and transferred by speedboat to the yacht – the ride takes about 20-30 minutes. On disembarkation day, transfers back to the airport start at 7 AM. If a guest’s flight is later, they may wait in the terminal or request a private transfer.
What should I do if my flight is delayed or I arrive late?
If your flight is delayed or rescheduled, notify the Scubaspa office or your Four Gates Group expert immediately. Late embarkation is possible only upon prior arrangement. Guests arriving after 5 PM may be offered overnight accommodation in Malé and a transfer to the yacht the following morning.
What documents are required for embarkation?
Guests must have a passport valid at least 6 months beyond the return date, a printed or digital booking voucher, and a completed Guest Registration Form submitted online before arrival. Certified divers must also provide their certification card and logbook.
Is a visa required to visit the Maldives?
Citizens of most countries, including Ukraine and the EU, receive a free 30-day tourist visa upon arrival in Malé. You’ll need a valid passport, a return ticket, and proof of accommodation on the yacht.
Are there baggage limits for transfers or storage on the yacht?
Scubaspa doesn’t impose strict limits but recommends soft bags instead of hard suitcases, as cabin storage is limited. On domestic flights (e.g., for “Deep South” itineraries), the allowance is 20 kg per person.
Are there any medical or vaccination requirements?
As of November 2025, no mandatory vaccinations are required. Routine immunizations (hepatitis A and B, diphtheria, tetanus) are recommended. All guests must have travel insurance that includes medical coverage and, for divers, dedicated dive insurance.
What’s included in the cruise fare, and what’s extra?
Included: accommodation, three meals daily, transfers, yoga, snorkeling, tea, coffee, and soft drinks. Extra charges apply for: diving equipment, alcohol, additional spa treatments, taxes, insurance, and gratuities.
Can I bring electronic devices or drones on board?
Yes. The onboard voltage is 220 V (European sockets type C or F). Drones may be used only with permission from the Maldives Civil Aviation Authority (MCAA) and in compliance with local regulations.
How should I prepare for diving, and what should I bring?
Experienced divers are encouraged to bring their own dive computer, mask, and regulator. Equipment rental is available on board. Bring your certification, logbook, and a medical statement. Water temperature averages 28-30 °C, so a 3 mm wetsuit or lycra is ideal.
Is travel and dive insurance required?
Yes. Every guest must have travel insurance covering the entire journey. Divers must also have dedicated dive insurance, such as DAN or DiveAssure. Without proper coverage, participation in diving activities may be restricted.
How can I contact the yacht or office in an emergency?
Before departure, guests receive the contact number of Scubaspa’s Malé coordinator and the reservations email. The yacht is equipped with satellite communication to ensure contact at any time. In emergencies, guests may also reach out through Four Gates Group experts for coordination.

Tariff Details
Each Scubaspa tariff has a clear structure of inclusions, ensuring full transparency and comfort for every guest.
– Scuba Holiday includes all necessary dives, use of diving equipment, instructor guidance, and access to the dive boat (dhoni).
– Spa Holiday offers a comprehensive set of treatments for each day of the cruise: Thai, Balinese, or Ayurvedic massages, facial care, detox programs, and aromatherapy.
– Scuba & Spa Holiday combines both experiences, balancing diving and relaxation throughout the cruise.
The number of dives or treatments can be increased for an additional fee, and guests may book private yoga sessions or personalized massage programs.
What’s Included
Each Scubaspa tariff follows the “all-inclusive” principle.
The price includes accommodation in the chosen cabin category, fine dining with three meals a day, a welcome cocktail, filtered water, tea, coffee, soft drinks, daily yoga sessions, evening entertainment, island barbecues, snorkeling, water activities, group airport transfers, and full crew service.
Scubaspa transforms hospitality into an art form – from sunrise yoga to dinner under the stars, every moment is filled with harmony, care, and attention to detail.
Additional Expenses

Additional fees may also apply for single occupancy, holiday cruises, or private charter voyages.
Seasonality and Route Influence
Scubaspa tariffs vary depending on the season, cruise duration, and route.

One of Scubaspa’s main advantages is its flexibility.
The pricing system is dynamic, taking into account the season, yacht occupancy, cabin category, and cruise length.
