The MSC World Atlantic was launched in France.

On September 26, 2026, cruise line MSC Cruises marked an important milestone in the construction of its new ship, MSC World Atlantic — the vessel was floated out at the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France.

Following the float-out, work will continue at the shipyard on the vessel's interiors, public spaces and final technical elements. The official delivery of the ship to MSC Cruises is scheduled for 2027.



The ship, designed to accommodate approximately 5,400 passengers, will debut from Port Canaveral, Florida, in November 2027.

MSC World Atlantic will operate alternating 7- and 14-night cruises in the Eastern and Western Caribbean. The itineraries will include, among other destinations, Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve — the private island of MSC Cruises in the Bahamas.

Interestingly, MSC Cruises is positioning MSC World Atlantic as its next flagship for the U.S. market. The ship's concept will combine MSC's European style with elements designed specifically for American guests. The vessel will be divided into seven distinct themed districts, each with its own atmosphere, restaurants, entertainment and relaxation areas.

Among the main attractions will be Cliffhanger — an extreme over-water swing located about 49 meters above the sea, which MSC calls the only attraction of its kind suspended over the water on a cruise ship. The ship will also feature The Clubhouse with bumper cars, roller skating, pickleball and a LEGO zone, as well as a large water park and a high ropes course.

Another interesting detail concerns the itineraries: MSC World Atlantic will become the first World Class ship to call at Grand Turk. In addition, during the 2027–2028 season, guests will have access to MSC's new island project — Sandy Cay, located near Ocean Cay in the Bahamas.



MSC World Atlantic will become the 25th ship in the MSC Cruises fleet and the fourth member of the World Class series, following MSC World Europa, MSC World America and MSC World Asia. The series will continue to expand: MSC has already ordered additional ships of this class, and by 2031 the World Class family is expected to include eight vessels.

On board MSC World Atlantic, there will be more than 38,000 sq. m of public spaces, as well as around 40 restaurants, bars and lounges. These will include the new Latin American lounge Viva La Musica, a sports bar, the comedy & live music venue The Loft, and the Masters of the Sea pub, where beer will be brewed directly on board.
